The Road Not Taken

Sa panahon ngayon, maituturing kang significant sa lipunan kapag alam mo ang uso at sumasabay ka dito.

The society is being controlled by the ridiculous standards set by the society itself.

And ridiculous people are those who will let themselves be carried and manipulated, those who will let themselves get dominated by the toxicity.

Kung ano ang trending, dapat alam mo iyon. You must know the what's the latest craze and style and you must immitate the fashion that is in favor.

Kapag nagagawa mo 'yan, congrats, tanggap ka ng lipunan.

Pero ano bang napapala mo dyan?

What are the benefits you can have? The prosperity you can earn? And the advantages you can receive?

Considerably, you will gain a lot. Acceptance, approval, popularity... tag them. Create a clan, stupid people are with you.

After all, there are few sophist left. Those few will laugh at you... or maybe not? Perhaps you can gain something from them likewise.

Sympathy.

Ang sirkumstansyang ito ay isa lamang sa maraming halimbawa ng pagpili sa daang tinatahak mo.

It doesn't only apply to the given situation, rather, to every probable adventure of yours.

Don't decide based on the ratio. Determine the essence, then everything shall follow.

One of my favorite poems is the poem written by Robert Frost which is "The Road Not Taken".

The lectures are very evident. You couldn't travel both paths. The descriptions he used were fascinating—and there are mind blowing meanings behind them.

The road looked as if it had not had loads of travelers, the speaker states that it was “grassy”, which is a consequence of low foot traffic and that it “wanted wear”, as if it were almost asking for the speaker to walk on it.

I assume that those are positive traits, and even implies that popularity can make things less appealing: the first road, because of its popularity, lacks the grass that makes the second path so enticing.

Kaya nga kapag nag-t-travel, mas gusto natin iyong mga scenic road, the path less traveled, and the less crowded places, 'di ba?

When we take one of these obscure, never traveled by many people roads, we find the best hidden places we could never imagined if we had followed the crowds.

And this concept also applies to different areas of life as a journey. Some hard paths will lead to the best destinations eventually, literally and figuratively. Just have faith and follow on.

“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.”

—Robert Frost, The Road Not Taken

Preference matters

Make someone happy. They say, "Simple things make big difference," it's true. We might not notice it, and we might not direct...
